Make the Philadelphia Eagles Part of Your Trip
One of the top football teams in the East Division of the NFL is the Philadelphia Eagles. While you’re in Philadelphia, check out a game to see star players and big rivalries.
Catch a Philadelphia Eagles Games
The Eagles joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1931. For the first decade of their existence, they were mainly a losing team.
When WWII rolled around, many players were drafted, leaving holes in the line-up. To fill them, the Eagles and the Pittsburgh Steelers combined teams and played as the “Steagles” for the entire 1943 season.
Over the years, star players have included Reggie White, Norm Van Brocklin, Steve Van Buren, and James Lofton.
The Stadium: Lincoln Financial Field
The Eagles play their home games at Lincoln Financial Field. It’s a huge venue that also regularly hosts national music tours and other big events. Get some Eagles merchandise at the Pro Shop, sit in one of the premium seating sections, or get special celebrity chef-created concessions in one of the club areas.
You can also visit the stadium for public or private tours that reveal what it’s like behind-the-scenes.
