Longwood Gardens Christmas Events
A Longwood Christmas
From November 24 – January 8, Longwood Gardens is lit up and glowing for the holidays. Inspired by music, the garden display includes an 18-foot fir tree decorated with musical instruments, fountains set to holiday tunes, half a million twinkling lights, and more than 6,000 seasonal plants, plus musical performances and sing-a-longs.
The Garden Railway is a miniature wonder, complete with G-scale model trains, tunnels, bridges, and a landscape with waterfalls. See it now through January 8; it’s free with your admission to the Gardens.
Hear the stately sounds of the Longwood Organ, and take in a roster of Christmas music with local organists and choirs. Free with admission, seating for the daily event is first-come, first-served.
Holiday Wreath Making
Create your own traditional evergreen wreath for your front door or home décor. Materials provided will include fresh evergreens, pine cones, nuts, and some festive surprises. Join in on December 3 from 9 a.m. to noon. Non-member price for the class is $109; members pay $99.
Local choirs and musicians will descend on the Ballroom for Christmas performances to get you in the spirit of cheer. High school choirs, local chorales, a cappella groups, and more will be on tap throughout the month of December.
