Corporate Philanthropy: Giving Back and Paying It Forward
As a business serving the local area, it’s important to give back and show how much we appreciate our thriving community. Check out some of the corporate philanthropy we engage in annually.
Learn About Our Charitable Giving Throughout the Year
At DoubleTree Valley Forge, we participate in a wide variety of events and philanthropic efforts year-round.
Thanks-4-Giving and Philabundance
Every year, we host a Thanks-4-Giving event that collects donations for a local charity, Philabundance. Food and monetary contributions are collected, which goes straight to the hands that need food the most.
Women’s History Month Benefit Supporting the Laurel House
March is Women’s History Month, and in its honor, we host an event that supports the Laurel House, a women’s domestic violence shelter. We collect essential items for women and children who are survivors of domestic violence, including clothing, household items, and toys.
Back to School Pool Party and Supplies Drive
Each August, we throw a fun pool party and collect supplies for a local elementary school in need.
Cradles to Crayons
Four times a year, we volunteer at Cradles to Crayons and fulfill wish-lists for under privileged families. We stuff bags full of clothing, socks, toys, diapers, and other everyday essentials.
We are Weed Warriors, which means we head out to Valley Forge National Historic Park regularly for year-round events that focus on removing invasive, non-native plants.
Our employees were excited to raise enough money to “adopt” a jaguar at Elmwood Park Zoo as part of the ZooParents program. The money goes toward purchasing tasty treats and fun toys for the animals, and helps pay for the food necessary for their diets.
Charitable giving is an important part of our hotel’s operations. DoubleTree Valley Forge and our employees are proud to give back to our wonderful community year after year.
